So much for my relaxing weekend. This morning we got a call that my son left his grandparents house where he was staying in the middle of the night and went home to our house. He locked all the doors so nobody could get in and would not come out or answer the phone this morning until the cops came to make sure he was OK. Everything turned out OK and he eventually went to school, but there is still some mystery about what he was doing. ugh! teenagers...

Apparently, all that got my adrenaline going pretty good. Once everything settled down, I knocked out my fastest 20 miler ever on an outdoor track near the hotel.

April - Yes indeed! Most of them suffer from a condition I call rectal cranial inversion syndrome. With boys this can last until 25 or so.

That's less than a 7:00 pace....!!!! You're going to run a sub-3:00 marathon!!!

Teenagers are hard... Things are really different now compared to when we were kids :-( It just seems like there's a lot more pressure for them to deal with.

IJR - 7:01 avg pace. I have two marathons to run back to back in April so I won't be trying for sub 3 yet. I may shoot for a BQ at both of them though. I'll also need to have enough strength left over to ride my motorcycle home 900 miles after big sur.

You know, I like your blog title ... I'm thinking about renaming mine "26.2 Miles Without A Horse?" .... What do you think...?
