We were only at 2 of 10 when Karina got sick and had to turn aound. When we got home I kept going and did a lap around Oakbrook. I managed to get a few in at my former regular pace, but it wasn't easy. My foot is hurting again too, enough that I think I should go back to the doc. I was thinking today that it feels almost like the neuroma I had in the other foot.

Also: Gloves & Little Hotties today! I miss Summer.

Sorry about Karina getting sick.

I would say that your old pace still looks very fast!

Bummer about the foot, maybe they can just take that toe off. I'm ready to have all my toenails taken off!

I don't miss summer....yet :-)

What is up with feet lately? Now I am afraid it is gonna happen to me. What exactly is a neuroma? Is it nerve damage?

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 22:05:24 from 24.19.80.36

Kelli - Congrats on your new Marathon PR! That is freaking awesome! To answer your question, yes a morton's neuroma is a damaged nerve that develops a lump and which gets pinched between the metatarsals. The pinching makes the lump bigger and then it get's pinched even more and so on and so on. I had one in my left foot that the doc took care of by injecting the lump with alcohol to both shrink and basically deaden the nerve permanently. I hope that is the case with my right foot this time. I'll never beat your marathon time if this thing doesn't get better :)

And I WANT you to beat my marathon time, so get that thing better!

Ya know, you should come and run the St George marathon one year...it is a lucky marathon!
