Just a nice little run out past the old barn this morning, I wanted to simulate starting the race on Saturday and just try the pace that I want to start out with so my first mile was 8:15 and then the second mile was 7:55. They both felt really sustainable and comfortable and I think my legs are starting to come around, I think with a little more of a taper this week and I should be good to go! I think tomorrow I'll run about the same mileage as today but the pace will be real real easy, I might even walk a little. My average pace this morning was 8:13 and my total time was 25:17, after the run I did my upper body weight training, real light and then finished with some push-ups.

See ya tomorrow

I kinda did the same run as Monday except I ran out past the stake center, first mile was 8:23 and then I had a sub 8 minute mile on the second mile, 7:56 and then I slowed down after that. The pace felt comfortable and I am curious about Saturday and what I am ready to do, I guess time will tell. My average pace for the run was 8:15 with a total time of 28:32, after the run I did some stretching and then a lite upper body weight training. I did go and drive the course yesterday, and there are some up hill sections but nothing to bad so I will need to take advantage of the downhill but I need to make sure I don't over do it to soon in the race, patience.

See ya tomorrow.

Big day tomorrow! UVM! Just some final thoughts before the big day. I really don't know what to expect for tomorrow I just hope that I can give a good performance and do my best! I guess time will tell on that. It looks like the weather should be tolerable so that is a good sign so with that said, see ya tomorrow.

I was really kinda disappointed with this race. I felt like I was in better shape than this, like 3:40ish type shape! But the wind was pretty brutal today and it took its toll on me. I also lost reception on my watch going through the tunnel so it was really frustrating after that! The first 9 miles I felt really good and I tried to keep the pace around 8:00 minute miles as planned but then I hit the wind and it was just frustrating! I stayed with it through the half way point but then I starting to really lose it after that, the wind just beat me to high heaven today. So I am not giving any splits as its to embarrassing, and stupid, so I will count this as a nice long run and call it good. I'll be taking a few days off to recover and then get ready for the training for the SGM in October and I am hoping for a better time there, hopefully!

Later.
