I ran my Payson Park Loop this morning and what a glorious morning it was. Today's run was the best run I have had in over 2 months, no pain at all, and my legs seemed to be fresh even after the 18 miler on Saturday... All the pain I have been through the last 2 months and really the last year have been well worth it just to have a day like today, it was simply amazing! I felt strong going through the rollers up in to Payson and then down into the park and then felt the same way coming back, the pace seemed easy and not to laboring and I was grinning from ear to ear! My average pace was 8:18 and my HR average was at 144 total time was 58:45, I had some 2-7:50 miles in there and that was the hardest part of the route and it wasn't like I was pushing the pace either just nice and steady. The last 2 miles I reeled things in a bit and just took easy as not to over do it and then I did a little sprint towards the end! just because I felt like it, I haven't been able to do that for a very long time so it was awesome! I ran in to Sideways man and he was doubled over like he was in pain so I stopped to see if he was all right and he said he was fine he was just stretching his back out, he was very appreciative though. I finished up with some strength training on the Bowflex with the upper body and then iced and rolled my leg just to be safe, a really good day and I hope it continues for the rest of my training.:-)

See ya tomorrow.

Wow, sounds like a great morning, you sure appreciate things more when they are taken away, eh? I keep wondering when I will be privileged with my first Clay sighting, hopefully soon.
