53:00 minutes on the elliptical, I kept the speed between 85 and 90 just trying to take it easy... My shin felt okay, but there's no way I could run on it,  thank goodness I have the elliptical or I would be going crazy. I wish I could do a long run tomorrow but I guess I will have to just be happy with the ellipitical, its awfully boring on that darn thing, but I am trying to endure to the end so to speak! I am going with 6 miles today because I feel that is the time I put in even if I had run for this amount of time, or something like that...

Sorry to hear about your injury! Injuries are very frustrating. Hang in there. I think you are doing the right thing by going less impact and cross training on the elliptical. I had a few injuries myself from calf to stress fracture to shin splints.

Hope things get better for you. I seem to have several little aches and pains going on right now, and I don't even run the mega miles.

Do you live in Spanish Fork? If so, I was wondering if you run with Pat and Kent?
