5 miles today (2.5 to gym and back) Also did Tae Bo, I haven't been for 2.5 weeks and I could tell. :) Tried to run fast today. Fastest mile 6.53. Need to do more speed work. :( PM - Zumba class taught by Lynsey. I am a fish out of water in there, but it was fun and I was definitely sweaty when I left :) Brought my ex-running buddy Tammy. She's pregnant now and doesn't want to run 20 miles being 6 months pregnant?? I don't get it. :)

Ran 3.5 w/ Lily & Lynsey w/ avg pace of 8:11. Lynsey did it even though she taught Zumba until 10pm the night before :)
Then Lily & I drove to the gym, she loved my sweaty face fogging up her windsheild and my sweaty cheeks soaking her seat :). I did 1 mile in 7.30 and then two half mile sprints in 3 minutes each :) the 6 min mile without stopping is around the corner. :) Then I lifted. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF THE UV MARATHONERS!!!!!!! I think my sister and I will be at the finish line cheering ya'll on!

Originally planned on 8 or 9 :) ended at 4. Avg pace 8:07. I will probably add some PM miles to this.
Just got back from the Utah Valley Marathon. It was so cool. There's such a cool feeling when you finish a marathon. I had to bring my kids so we were a little late, but we got there w/ plenty of time to see Mary Ann come in 1st!!! The 5k time hadn't switched over yet, but I am guessing she was around the 2:55 - 3 hour range. Then we saw JOSSE!!! She did great. I also saw Rick Clayton. He and I finished at the same time last year at Top of Utah. I saw Sasha when we first got there, but since I don't know him know him I didn't say hi. :) Kids were getting a little wild so we had to leave early. But I would have loved to see Marion! I have pictures of Josse I'll post them when I have some time. Oh and I never saw Allie, I really wanted to meet Allie the great. :) Next time I see her sleeping on a bus I'm gonna wake her up.
PM update: I was so motivated by the marathon today that I ran 6.2 at 6pm. avg pace 7:45

speed work today 8 x 400 mile pace. I ran next to Lily. She always kicks my trash on the # of miles. I was planning on going to tae bo, but I could only see one girl in there. I walked by to investigate things closer and there was actually 2 girls. The substitute teacher and one girl. I guess no one likes the sub??? So then I lifted arms & legs.

| I ran to the gym today (2.5 miles) and decided to do my pace miles on the treadmill...it's easier :) I ran 3 on TM in 19:40. First two miles in 13 minutes 6.30/pace and last mile 6.40. I feel like I am slowly getting back to where I was last year and where I want to be. I was going to run home, but just happened to see my good old buddy old pal Lynsey and I hitched a ride with her. thanks so much! that's how you know if you have a true friend or not...they let you ride in their car all sweaty and stinky. I bet Leandra wouldn't let me ride in her car all sweaty. |

We ran a little later so I blame it on the sun :) I wore the shorts that are getting too small for me and we got some yells from the construction workers by our houses. Then we ran into some rough terrain and I thought we were in some kind of obstacle course. Lynsey kept trying to flip tree branches into my face. avg pace was 8.01

Ran 6 with the SF running club (met a nice girl Ashley. she works at maceys and we came in at the same time at last years memorial day 5k in spanish. i see her all the time, glad i know her now) and 4 by myself. Also ran into Rachel & Mackenzie for 5 seconds, and I gave the speedy gals some water, they were doing some speed work.
Did a 5k test (somewhat, it's not the same for me w/ out the competition and adreneline) at mile 6. Did it in 21:30. Makes me think my Speedy Span goal, might be a bit high :) I've got some work to do. Fastest 5k is 20 something. I need to get it under 20 then maybe get my 10k to 40:30??? Anyway I felt fine during the run and then like always I get a huge HEADACHE later in the day. Why is it when I run longer mileage I get horrible headaches? Is it b/c I am not getting enough sleep the night before? Mr. Hackett threatened to not let me run anymore b/c I am usally worthless the rest of the day. I can take asparin and I am fine, but I hate taking it every Saturday. Funeral was good. It was Wes' uncle and he really was a great guy! He died from cancer.

For now my plans for the week are as follows: Mon - 6 Mile Tempo
Tues - 6 miles total 10 x 400 Mile pace Wed - 3-6 Mile Run Thurs - 6 M total (2 m pace) Fri - 6 M run and strength Sat - 8-15 miles? Freedom Run 10k w/ Leandro?? Happy 4th of JULY!!! This might change when I see what Lynsey and Lily have planned for the week. I'm going to try what Sasha suggests w/ running the same amount of miles every day. Starting w/ 6 miles per day, might need to start w/ 5 miles per day...we'll see. I also saw on his blog he'll offer a race evaluation for the july 11th FRB 5 miler, I'll probably do that. I need any help I can get....running and otherwise.

Lynsey I am so sorry I missed you this morning! I actually went to bed last night at a somewhat decent time and thought I'm going to get 8 hours of sleep tonight...didn't happen. Carson woke up last night around 3:30ish and it took me forever to fall asleep after I changed his diaper and clothes b/c he peed through his diaper and got his clothes wet. My alarm went off at 6 and I got dressed and somehow found my way back to my bed fell asleep and woke up at 7:04. I ran down stairs and saw Lynsey at Lily's and I yelled my little heart out, but she didn't hear me. so I put on my sneakers and ran to her house but I couldn't see her anymore. Sorry! It's all Carson's fault. I still could have run by myself, but I was/am too tired still. There's still tonight right? right!

Today was a pretty uneventful run. Just 6 miles. I thought that since I didn't run yesterday or Sunday my legs would feel fresh and the run would be easy, but I kinda struggled to get going.
