Track Repeats today on the RLRF program. I'm beginning to really like the track workouts!

Got some new shoes and wore them the first time today. They are Saucony Kinvara 2. My thinking is to use them in my marathon races but keep training in my Saucony Ride 4. The K2 does not have near the support the R4 has but my feet seem to be fine after this run. I also have a pair of Brooks Racer ST 5. So now I have R4 @ 11 oz,  K2 @ 8 oz and BR5 @ 6 oz. I should be covered for anything now :-) ...Unless I want to go shoeless like some believe is the best...?

You are looking great on those intervals. Remind me never to go to the track with you, I think you would destroy me.

You are getting so dang fast! Don't go shoeless! I have some of those zero drop shoes and they kill my ankles. I am only wearing those to walk in from now on! My old bod needs some extra cushion on my bones! ha!

Amen to fastjoe and steam8, you are looking pretty darn good! One can never have too many running shoes.

Thanks guys, I think things are coming together. I'm not sure if it will be a 3:16 marathon but it should be much better than my first.

Joe, Why don't you move to San Marcos so we can run together...I'll get faster so you won't have to wait on me!

Rye, I've only got 3 pair of running shoes ... is that a lot?

Steam, I am thinking about doing a little barefoot running when I go to the track. I'll probably just run on the grass football field a cool-down. Right now I only run on hard surfaces. I'm thinking this might strengthen my feet a little...just a thought.

Nice job, IJR!

Well, you know my love of track repeats. My logical brain loves the idea of a set number and an exact idea how how far I have go.

Hey-nice job! Jut checking back with you on the Cowtown course. We ran part last weekend and it is pretty hilly but I really liked the part we ran. Through lots of different FW neighborhoods. There were a couple of areas with torn up roads that will hopefully be fixed by the end of February. I would actually like to run it, but my kids have commitments that weekend.
