Long-Term Running Goals: Run a 5k under 18:00 Personal: Have been active my whole life, but turned my focus to running in 2006 after deciding to run a marathon. I really enjoy the training aspect and staying healthy, but mileage has been on the decline over the past 3 years due to work commitments, so focus has turned away from races and more on just staying fit enough to still enjoy getting out. AM 60 degrees and a light breeze, oh yeah! Took my time this morning and ran to Coast Guard beach and on the rail trail a bit. Such a beautiful place. 12.30 in 1:31:08, avg. 7:24 per mile NOON

Did an out and back on the rail trail. Chilled on the way out, and picked it up to a steady pace on the way back. Perfect weather! 8.36 w/ the last 4.17 @ 6:39 pace. Total run time of 58:43, avg. 7:01 per mile. NOON Ran to the flea market with Lacy. pretty hot out so we just chilled. 4.04 in 41:40, avg. 10:18 per mile.

| AM Sprints and drills today, and guess what, it's another beautiful day. Life is good : ) 1.11 warm, 30 push-ups,
1 set of XC skier, ski hop, speed skater, butt-kicks, power skips, and carioca w/ a stride between each, 6 x :30 hill sprints @ 5:43 to 5:36 pace w/ 2:30 walk break(big hill!), 7.05 cool NOON Bike to Coast Guard beach for some fun in the sun. The water was warm this year(59 degrees) 1:00:00 of biking and some swimming in the ocean.
