Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Big snowstorm last night, so I missed my morning run. I got 10 miles in the late afternoon, once the snow stopped and the trails were cleared. Averaged about 8:20/mile.

am - Workout. Warmed up 3 miles, then did 20x1-minute fartlek, with 45s recoveries. Cooled down 2 miles. 12 miles total. Pace during the intervals was not terribly fast, due to the cold and me just not being very fast. But it was a LT to V02 effort.

pm - Power Trail, 3 miles.

Long run. Did the first 17 miles with Mike (Boyd Lake). Averaged 6:50/mile for this part. Then dropped Mike off, and did 5 more miles without a watch (Fossil Creek). This part was extremely slow, and I was feeling the distance pretty hard. But got 22 miles total. 97 for the week.
