Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Started running up Smithfield Canyon, then ran into Carson, who was tempo'ing down. I turned around and finished his last mile of tempo with him, and then we cruised in to his house. Then I added some mileage by running up Summit Dr and took Hillside back to my house. Did 6 strides while on Hillside. Averaged 6:50/mile for 9.75 miles. Beautiful morning. Happy summer.

Did a tempo on the Bear River Ranch out-and-back course. Averaged 5:36/mile for the first 10 miles of the run, then cruised in from there. 5:55/mile for 14 miles. It got colder out during the run, and even started raining. There is no rain in the forecast today. It's not fair.

AM1 - ran with Carson up Summit to Hillside, and then up Dry Canyon. Very slow run today, thanks to Dry Canyon. Live and learn. 8.25 miles.

AM2 - Stacy had a dr appt (every two week now...sigh), so I took Seth and did my second run of the day, just a couple hours after I finished the first one. But it's going to get hot today, so this was probably a good thing. We did the Forrester Acres out-and-back, no watch. 5.75 miles.

Ran with the one and only Logan Fielding this morning. That was the good news. The bad news is that I felt like bung. We ran up Smithfield Canyon to the end of the dirt road, and then came back. Did about 4 tempo miles on the way back, ranging around 5:35-5:40/mile. We were both glad to be done. 16 miles total, averaged 6:59/mile.
