| Finally got the long awaited treadmill. It's a NordicTrack Commercial 1750, and it's pretty nice. I ended up running on it today, because it was raining, and that was a good enough excuse. Hanging out with my wife and kids, watching Veggie Tales while running is infinitely better than slogging through the fog. Did 7 miles at 1% incline, started at 7:00/mile and worked up to 6:00/mile by the end.

| Summit Dr to Smithfield Canyon. 8 miles, 6:24/mile. Cold out, but I actually got hot at the end from my face warmer. It's best for temps under 5 degrees, and it was 10 degrees by the time I finished, so I was way overdressed. |

| Since I didn't run yesterday, I did a good run today. It was warm (about 40 degrees) and raining, and tights, underarmour top, and a hat was perfect dress. Did and out-and-back into North Logan, and felt great. 9 miles, averaged 6:08/mile. |

| Ran with the one-and-only Logan Fielding today from work. We did the North Logan-USU Loop. It was longer than I remember, so I ended up at 10 miles for the day. Logan kept pushing the pace, and I didn't feel great, but good to run with him. 6:47/mile for the run. |

| Ran with Logan today. We drove up to the TOU Half start line, up Blacksmith Fork Canyon. Ran up the canyon 5 miles, and then back down. It was a little bit cold going up, due to shade and a light headwind, but going down was very comfortable, and it was a beautiful, sunny day. Averaged 6:07/mile for the entire run of 10 miles. |

| Snowy today. I decided to try out some "show chains" that someone gave me -- basically works like chains for tires, except for shoes. I've been using them for shoveling, and they definitely add a lot of grip without adding weight. They worked reasonable well for running. They were best on really hard-packed snow and ice. Less good in the sloppy stuff. Ran Smithfield Canyon, 9 miles, 7:06/mile average. |
