Today was our second out of 4 mile time trials. I did just over a half mile warm up because the other guys wanted to get it done instead of getting a good warm up in.... So Chris is like "5 minutes till we start so get your warm up in"........ Ok well I got a half mile warm up then stretching. Last time I wore my spikes but today I didn't because my shins have been hurting a lot more recently. So he lined us up as we finished last time so I was lane 1 spot 1. I started out in first place for the first lap then on the second lap Brendton, Mike, and John caught up to me, we went through the first lap in 1:27, then Brendton took the lead and held it the rest of the mile. With 2 laps to go Brendton thought that was our last lap so he started kicking and he gained 50 meters on us in the first 200 of that lap then Mike, John and I maintained his pace for the next 200 meters. On the last lap I started picking up the pace because Mike and John were right on my heals, we gained the ground on Brendton but he beat me by a half a second! He beat me by 10 meters, I was furious! I ran a 6:04, Brendton ran 6:03, Mike ran 6:05 and John ran 6:06... Not a good mile. I wish I would have worn my spikes or flats because I would have beaten him! Then I did a lap on the track the opposite way and ran home. 7:04 pace for the first 5 miles. I hit 5 miles at my house then I managed to get on the treadmill for the last mile.
