Ran down to Liberty park, went to the drinking fountain, ran back to the other end of the park, and did 8 strides then heard the workout. Varsity was doing a 3 mile tempo run, 2 mile tempo run, then a 1 mile tempo run. I was supposed to hit a 8:10 pace.... Way to slow! So I decided to do a 7:30 pace. For the three mile tempo run, I got a 22:30 so exactly what I needed, then on the two mile I started at the mile and a half mark because I missed the start and had to go to the bathroom but I got 10 minutes. Then on the one mile, it was a bit harder but I got a 7:27 so all were pretty consistent. Then we jogged back up to the track for a cooldown. |
