This afternoon I met up with Larry and later Tim and Andrea. So I did a mile warm up running to sugarhouse park then I did a mile of J's then stretched waiting for my sister to get there with my water bottle and my spikes. I changed my shoes then I did a lap of regular speed changes to warm up again then I jogged over to the 200 and did a 200 in 40 seconds to feel the times I would be running. So I did it in 39.94 so really close! Then the workout was 8 400s in 77-80. My first two I felt great and I hit 77, my recovery for all of them was 100 seconds. Then the third one was 77 also but I could then start feeling it in my legs. The fourth one I got 80 and from this point on it was really hurting. But Tim and Andre finally got there so I had Tim to pace me on the last 4. He was going 75-77 so I just needed to stay just a bit behind Tim. The fifth one was 79 which was better and also the sixth one was 79. Then the final two were the hardest! I got 82 and 81! I usually hit my times but today was a hard workout and I was close! I felt good about this workout. Then I did 4 barefoot strides on the grass then a two mile cooldown with Tim and Andrea around the park. |
