Decided to make up for missing my long run over the weekend.  Did 5 laps + a tiny bit more to hit 8 this morning with Cooper.  Just a tiny drizzle for a little bit, otherwise very nice weather.  Added in a few tempo miles the last 3 miles.

I had a GREAT birthday weekend, got surprised by my husband with bike shoes and pedals, had an ice cream cake, an ice cream pie, and a regular cake (yes I will not be posting my weight anytime soon), went to the absolute best 80's party EVER decked out in some sweet prom dresses, and finally, as my last birthday gift.... I SIGNED UP FOR THE PORTLAND MARATHON!!!!!!!  Now I just need to get to that starting line healthy.

You asked in my blog about trails in the Seattle area. For technical running, I would recommend Tiger Mountain. Its relatively close to Seattle (30 minutes), but what can you do. But, any hiking trail will also do. I didn't get out and run trails as much when I lived in Seattle (except Discovery Park (tame), because it was just too much driving. So spoiled now with Galbraith Mountain right out my back door!

80s party sounds fun!

Congrats on signing up for Portland! I'm doing Portland as well. It will be my first full marathon. I'm finally taking the giant leap from half marathons. Eeek!
