Pm -  Wow I'm feeling so sentimental writing this race entry.  I warmed up a good 3 miles for the ocho.  I didn't feel amazing, but pretty good.  I got a good start in the race, pretty much right into second behind Richfield guy.  I chilled right on him on the first lap then on the home straight where we had some unfortunate headwind.  Took the lead with 400m to go like I like to, I was gunning for the win.  Then with 250 to go Ike the freaking beast passed me and also Richfield guy.  I dug some more and stayed with them.  Stinking Ike just pulled away from us for the win.  I didn't have the zip in my step to close like I wanted, but I'm glad I stuck in and battled Richfield guy to get that second place.  Finished in 1:57, not a PR so overall I was fairly bummed.

4x 400m later, we kinda sucked, whatever.  At least we didn't get our baton smacked away like Davis.

I always wanted to win a track state championship and get a 1:54 to beat our school record.  At least I still got my Cross Country Title, and really, theres so much more important things in life than running races.  I loved high school track and XC so much, so many awesome memories.  Don't know for sure yet where I'm going to attend college yet, most likely USU or SUU since I have full rides to both.  I'd love to continue running in college, but we'll see where I'm at after 2 years in El Salvador.  Hopefully I'll still have the desire to run competitively.  I'll run occasionally and blog it till I leave July 12th.  Word out.

You had a great high school career and you approached the sport with a perfect mix of fun and dedication. I wish I had a whole team of Nick Hill's! I'll be looking forward to tracking your success in the future.
