Personal:

Started running in November 2007 to get fit. Now I'm back almost to square one after back surgery. I did it once and I'll do it again.

"In truth, runners don't race other runners. They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares. And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better."  Running for His Life by Michael Hall.

Great medium-long run. I always feel pretty good on Monday after my rest day and this week was no exception.  Starting to get back into decent shape, something I was never really in last year for very long- if at all.

I was able to register for Robie Creek despite another year of their website melting down. It's probably my favorite race every year but they've really got to do something about their jacked up registration process. Take a few of those sponsorship dollars and invest it in some additional bandwidth. It really wouldn't be that expensive or difficult.

Glad you got into Robie Creek...I saw they filled in 22 minutes! Sorry we missed each other, maybe sometime in the near future when we come that way again.

Yeah, the registration process has become almost as much of a challenge as the race. Sorry we didn't cross paths. I always tell my wife that you're my online running coach. :) Hopefully, we can meet at UVM in June. FWIW, we'll be staying at the host/packet-pickup hotel (Marriott).

We will be staying there too! See you at UVM!

Awesome, looking forward to it!
