Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

Met the BBK's at Peggy's for the early miles.  It was so nice to run again.  I haven't run for two weeks.  I enjoyed visiting with Peggy, Mike, Michelle M and others.  I had to be to work at 6am so had to leave after the early miles.  This afternoon Leslie and I rode our bikes.  Boy was it cold.  It is so much colder riding bikes than running. We only rode for 30 minutes but my hands were frozen by the time we got back and I even wore gloves.

After work I took my daughter Becca to Golden Corral for lunch.  Then I went home and had a nap.  I didn't excercise at I but I sure did eat plenty.

Met the BBK's at the park in daybreak.  We ran from the park back to 114th and up to daybreak lake.  We ran around daybreak lake and back to the park.  I had a nice time visiting Mike on the way up and then Eric on the way around.  Eric, Sue, Debbie and I lost the rest of the group on one of the turns when we went up instead of down.  We kept running and ran towards the Rio Tinto building and then stopped to decide where to go.  About then Scott came running up behind us.  He had lost he group also.  I went back the other direction with Scott and we hooked up Nancy and Melanie and then ran under 114th and back to the park.  I really had an enjoyable run.  I love running with the group.  Duke had a great time too.  When I got home I ate breakfast and got the turkey on to cook.  We had 3 of our married daughters and son-in-laws and grandkids over along with the 3 single kids and Kent and I.  We had 20 people total and had a very nice dinner and visit.  Now 2 of my daughters and I are going to see the new Twilight show.

Leslie, Duke and I ran our South County Pool 6 miles course.  Leslie took Duke and we all went very slow.  My foot only hurt a tiny bit.
