| Location: South Jordan,Ut,USA Member Since: Jan 11, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: 5 K Finish Running Accomplishments: I've been running for the past 25 years. I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then. I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons. I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35. I won Thrid Place in my age group.
Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon. They did great and I was glad to just finish. I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.
I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die. I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.
We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons. Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak. I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.
2010 Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group
Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group
South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010 Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group
March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.
Short-Term Running Goals: My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

| | I slept over at Leslie's Friday night so I could take care of the triplets. Saturday morning after we fed the babies, Christine came over and pushed the double jogger with 2 babies and Leslie pushed the jogger with 1 baby and I just ran. I am so slow I could barely keep up with them pushing the joggers. I am grateful I can run 3 miles even if I am slow.

| | I had to be to work at 6 a.m. and did not wake up until 5:05 so I only had time to run 2.5 miles with Duke before work.

| | I slept at Leslie's to take care of the babies. Christine came over in the morning. She pushed the double jogger and Leslie pushed the single jogger and I followed behind. We only went 3 miles but I was very tired at the end. It is amazing that 3 miles can get me so tired but I least I am still doing it.

| | Met the group at Riverton High School. Cheris and I were the only ones there. We visited a moment and then started through the subdivision. Cheris passed Duke and I and that was the last I saw her. We ran through the subdivision and around the block and then past Riverton north to Christine's street and then back to Riverton.

| | Met the group at the sj soccer fields. We did the 5K course and Peggy and Kris did the course again and I just ran through park and to the tennis courts and back. It was a good run. After I got home and ate breakfast I did my arm weight exercises.

SoJo 5K (3.2 Miles) 00:38:10, Place overall: 105, Place in age division: 1 | | My son Ben and I ran the SoJo 5K. The course was a little different from the last time I ran it but it still had plenty of hills. I ran slow and steady and had to walk a couple of times. I ran fast on the down hills. I won 1st in my age group but there were only two others besides me in my age group. My son was 6th in his age group. He ran it in 29 minutes.
