I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then. I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons. I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35. I won Thrid Place in my age group.
Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon. They did great and I was glad to just finish. I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.
I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die. I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.
We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons. Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak. I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals: My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals: Keep running, biking, swimming and stay fit until I'm 100 years old Personal: I'm married, have 8 kids (7 daughters and one son) and 28 grandkids. | | Since I spent the night at Leslie's helping with the triplets, I took the day off work and was able to go to the 8:30 run group. We met at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was a good run and Duke and I enjoyed it.

| | Duke and I went to Christine's to run. I left Duke in the back yard to run around with Buddy and Chrissy and I ran our usual 3.5 mile course. It is a lot of fun to run with someone and talk to them while running.

| | After work and a short nap. I rode my bike on my 6 mile course. Then I went visiting teaching.

| | Today was the first day in 5 weeks that I did not have to go early to work so I was able to meet the early run group. We ran over to the big hill and went up and down. After work and a short nap I did my arm weight exercises. Then I went to help Leslie with the triplets.

| | I slept over at Leslie's last night to help with the triplets. This morning after I came home and made breakfast for my husband I took Duke on a 2 mile run. Then I went to my daughter Christine's and ran 3.5 miles with her. Then I came home and changed and went back to feed babies.

| | Since I took the day off to help Leslie with the triplets I was able to go to the late run group. We met at the church on sky drive. We ran through the subdivision, up the hill and then over to Daybreak. We ran around daybreak for a while and then I had to leave because I needed to get cleaned up before I went back to Leslie's to feed babies. It was a good run.

| | I spent the last two nights at my daughter Leslie's helping with triplets so I felt very tired today. I got 3 hours of sleep on Monday night and 4 and a half last night. After breakfast I did my arm weight exercises and then rode by bike 6 miles. I was very tired and there was a big head wind going north. I was sure glad I was only going 6 miles. Now I am going to take a nap.

| | Duke and I went to the early run group since I did not have to be to work until 7am. We met at the church up the street from my house. We did the usual route through the subdivision.

| | I did not run this morning because we had our ward conference temple session at 7am this morning. After I got home I made breakfast and did some cleaning. Then I rode my bike to my daughter Christine's house and we rode our 10 mile course. Then I came home and took a nap and then went to help feed the triplets.

| | I only had time to run 2 miles with Duke before work because my boss called at 5am and said I needed to be to work at 6. I slept at Leslie's on Thursday night and Friday night to help feed the triplets.

| | I got home from taking care of babies just in time to make breakfast. After breakfast Duke and I went to Christine's to run. We ran 3.5 miles. I was going to ride bikes later but I had to be back at 10am to feed babies. After we fed the babies I decided I was too tired to ride bikes. I ate lunch and had a long nap.
