Awesome job! Great report - You're amazingly speedy! Keep it going! :)

That was awesome Nan! Well, the peeing in a cup was a bit awkward, but I'm used to that from you by now. So another blogger, who shall remain anonymous, asked - who the heck is Nan? What?! So I just had to Google you. Do you know it only takes typing in 'Nan Ken' before your name pops up? Then I did a Google image search on you and found some gems [insert evil laugh.] Here's the funny thing. When you get to page 6 of the images (that's as far as I went) there's a picture of my little Emily in a hospital bed. :)

Congratulations! and thank you for posting that amazing video, if I had to pick which one of the two runners I'd like to be, I would go for second
From Burt on Tue, Mar 15, 2011 at 14:50:34 from 206.19.214.144
Shut up allie! Six pages isn't very much. I'm allowed to do that. What I'm not allowed to do is make multiple comments on the same blog entry. So thanks for making me break that rule. And I'm only allowed to text her once a month.
246.

Great job at another national level race. You and Jen Rhinnes have quite a rivalry going this year.

Thanks everyone!
Burt-That Poppins photo is sure a gem. So gem-like, in fact that I would prefer if you would tuck it away in a treasure box somewhere...its just too precious for human eyes. What are you talking about, one text a month? You texted me at least 6 times last WEEK! I don't even have time to get back to all your texts. LOL
Jeff-Yeah I'd say its more of just Jen kicking my butt handily...not really a rivalry. ;) I only aspire to someday being able to control a race like she has. She is amazing.

Nan that's AWESOME!!! Way to go! And when I google your name I see more pictures of Burt & his kids than you. :) Is burt trying stealing your identity?

Congratulations on an awesome 2nd place finish! So long 3rd place.
BTW, I think that Burt is stalking you.
From Nan on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 14:05:54 from 98.245.117.176
Yes I know, Carolyn. I would be concerned but you have to remember that he stalks at least 98 other people just as heavily. Possibly more...do you keep count, Burt?
From Burt on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 14:23:09 from 206.19.214.144
Oh, are you allowing me to comment again? Yippee! There are more than 98. But there's only a select few that I've built shrines for.

Nice work Nan and good luck with the rest of your training before Boston. You're running great!

Awesome- nice work. Moving up. You know what comes when you improve on a 2nd place finish, right?!?
From RAD on Thu, Mar 17, 2011 at 16:00:32 from 67.172.229.125
Congrats Nan!! What an amazing individual you are, even with a crazy stalker that likes to build shrines of you.
I didn't realize the drug testing was RIGHT after a race like that and that they had to follow you around, I mean it makes sense, but uggghh! I can't really pee right after a race like that either, so I guess it's a good thing I'm so darn slow no one would ever try and test me :)
What a wonderful finish and way to shake that 3rd place! Funny how everyone thought you were trying to out pace Megan and you had no idea she was there. She kind of reminds me of another stalker type I know.

If you're in SLC next weekend come run our 5K. Running of the Leopards 5K.
From Nan on Mon, Mar 21, 2011 at 15:17:44 from 98.245.117.176
Bill-Thanks for the invite but I will not be in town, I'll be here in Boulder running my last 20 miler before Boston. Have fun everyone who is running!!
From Sasha Pachev on Mon, Apr 04, 2011 at 18:29:12 from 192.168.1.1
Congratulations! You realize that this pace gives you a low 1:10 in the half, right? And it is not that much of a stretch to extend the 15 K to the full half. Evenly split, flatter course, and drafting you probably would have run sub-1:10 half. No wonder this effort took second place in this caliber of an event.
I wonder if a mother of three has ever cracked 50:00 in a 15 K. This might be a record.
Regarding the church talk, I think that as long as you read the scriptures and daily, applying the Gospel in your life prepares you for the talk more than the talk-specific study. So I think you were better prepared than ever.
