do you have an elliptical at home? That was probably one of my best investments. If I only did up to level 4 on my NordicTrack 1300 I could read while going. . .

What are your racing plans after recovery?

I thought your best investment was a maid, Michelle.

I don't have a maid, Burt!
Ok, maybe in Utah I had a teenage girl come over to clean up a bit during tax season, but that was when I was wearing too many hats and needed it sorely. Everyone here thinks I should have a livein maid but I don't. You've touched a nerve :(...

Oh my goodness! I assumed you had one because EVERYONE has one. Hmm. You really don't?

And you like to hijack people's blogs; I bet this conversation is highly helpful to Nan's recovery :/
Nan - chin up. Today you are one day closer to full healing.

I actually have a funny maid story. When I was pregnant with my 3rd and had two other very young kids ages 2 and 3, I was pretty sick and despised cleaning the bathrooms. Not wanting to do it himself, Aaron was kind enough to hire a nice Spanish woman, Glendy to clean our bathrooms twice a month...it was awesome. After I gave birth my Mom came into town so Aaron called Glendy to tell her she didn't need to clean that week. Her sister answered her phone and said, "Oh, good because Glendy just had her baby this morning!!" Aaron and I looked at each other with confusion and shock...she was pregnant?!! I felt like a doofus for paying someone just as pregnant as me to come in and get on her hands and knees and clean my bathrooms just because I was sick and pregnant and tired. She seriously did NOT look pregnant at all. I never really got to talk to her much because she didn't speak English but after that experience I resolved to suck it up and get my own house work done, sick or not.

That's too bad. I could use a job.

Michelle-I do not have an elliptical at home. I go to the gym for that. Our friend, Eric who is living in our basement just won a treadmill but I may not ever use it. My hip surgeon is highly opposed to ever using a treadmill again after having labral repair surgery. He thinks treadmill running may put too much stress on the anterior labrum right where he fixed it and warns all his patients to avoid treadmills.
Tara-Sadly, I'm not sure I'll be toeing the line at the Marathon Olympic Trials in January. I haven't completely ruled it out quite yet but it is highly unlikely that I'll be ready. It'll likely be 4-6 more months of training until I feel ready to race again. Recently I've had the idea of lacing some spikes on my feet and seeing what kind of 5,000 and 10,000 Meter track times I can throw down in the spring. Olympic trials on the track in June? Why not?

Burt-Nice try. Business owners always have work to do.
