I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

Personal:

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

Six miles on the treadmill. After a 1.25 mile warm-up, I alternated hard-easy efforts every quarter mile. "Hard" efforts were about 6 minute pace.

Hot tub soak after.

Squeezed 5 miles in between getting home from work and Andy's baseball game. Perfect evening weather wise.

Back at it at 6:30 am for a cross country meet tomorrow.

Running around the cross country course plus a treadmill run at the gym.

The treadmill run might actually qualify as a workout. Did 6.25 miles with half under 6 minute pace. That's flying these days!

I remembered why we stopped running the Wasatch Rendezvous in 2008. 16 SEPERATE RACES are hard on a coach and a coaches voice. Especially if the coach is the type that believes his runners will run faster if he yells louder.
