PM: 6.25 miles on the Pipeline Trail
I'm having surgery on my knee on May 23 to chop out pieces of my torn and frayed right meniscus. Dr. Aoki seems certain it will do a lot of good and that the pain in my knee would subside and the range of motion will return. He said I should be able to do more explosive/dynamic movements again. On the downside, I will have less meniscus for the rest of my life and I will probably have to do some thinking about how to balance activity over the long run so that I can continue to do what I want to do - train and race. I will have to make some compromises.
So, mostly good news.
