I will write more later, but I ran the Utah Valley Marathon in 2:43:23 this morning. Cold with lots of rain the first half and swirling winds.Sometimes a headwind, sometimes a tailwind. Way more uphills than I expected the first 14 miles. I got a great rhythm going down University Ave. in Provo, I ran 25 to 26 in 6:09.

Oh yeah... this was a marathon PR for me by nine and a half minutes,

Nice job! Conditions looked rough out there--I'm glad I was there to cheer, not to run.

Great job Rob! Finishing strong in a marathon is a great feeling! Especially with the woopdie-do they gave us over the bridge.

Rob - it was nice to meet you in person, and congratulations on a 9+ minute PR. I wonder if you might have a sub-2:30 in you somewhere deep down, at least in St. George. What can you do in an all out quarter right now?

From Rob Murphy on Thu, Jun 17, 2010 at 00:06:18 from 68.185.76.156

Sasha, I'll have to ponder that and reply in a little more detail later.I will occasionally run 200s in as fast as 31, but I'm not sure what I could do for a 400 at max effort.
