Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

No big deal. This one case where body over mind is healthier. I have been running the same way the past few days and I feel much better for it. This is as much art and intuition as it is science I think.

So true Steve. "Rest is the basis for all activity". I read that somewhere. I couldn't believe how much pop I had in my legs yesterday after a couple easy days/days off. The problem for me is keeping the weight off though. I can easily gain five pounds in a week with decreased training and lack of discipline in my diet. Fortunately, this week I've been too busy to eat as well! :)
