Good morning for my mental health. It snowed, I got in a good run, and I had breakfast with Ann.

Got up early, had a cliff bar and a banana plus two cups of coffee. Watched the snow fall. Went to Liberty Park and ran a little over 7 miles before meeting up with Josh and Jake. Thrilled to see Josh running well. Jake joined me for about 7 miles. I ran 14.5 miles at the park and once around the block when I got home to make it an even 15 to qualify in my mind as a "long run".

We talked a lot about running. Imagine that.

Got home just in time to chauffer the kids to Sunday School while Ann and I played hookey and had breakfast at Caputo's Deli at 15th and 15th.

"Sluffing" I believe is the Utah term.

Good run Rob. We always used sluffing in the context of school. To me hookey seems less serious.

Looks like Elijah was 3 and Conner 10 at Footlocker. Hopefully Conner is happy with that.

Good showing for Utah and Almost Utah. Conner should be thrilled with 10th off of minimal training for 2 months.

I really wish the hockey thing had happened.

We called it hookey in New York. I only did it once though, and it was because my track coach told me to, early in the week of the state track meet to get some extra rest.

15th and 15th? Wasn't that the old Starbuck's location? I used to go there pretty frequently when I would run Emigration.

By the way my old alum was West High School and we called it sluffing also. Some of my best memories were "sluffing". Hate to admit that, but.. it's true.

Starbuck's = pre workout/race rocket fuel:)

The Starbucks at 15th and 15th closed down about two months ago. No idea why, it was always crowded.
