Ambled from moms house over to the Hammock Park in Dunedin. Ran the trails in the park for a while before heading over to my alma mater, Dunedin High School, the most thouroughly fenced high school in America, hopped the fence to the track and did 6 X 400 on the, no kidding, asphalt, track.

84, 84, 86, 83, 81, 81.

That seemed really hard so I'll have to call that a VO2 max workout.

Then I ran back to moms and soaked in the pool with the Canadians. 80 degrees, sunny, 70% humidity.

Trav and I did that a few years ago at DHS. He was totally stunned by the asphalt track. Really couldn't believe we would race in spikes on it - ah the good old days.

I think it's the same track Doug. Wouldn't be surprised if I was running 440s.

I can confirm the accuracy of all of the above. The school fencing is nearly as functional and attractive as some prisons.

Smart of them to fence off the asphalt track. Those are rare these days. Is 80 degrees and 70% humidity good or bad? Sounds nice to me.

Mr. Murphy once told me fenced in tracks were meant to be jumped. Any incidents of the legal nature, he's my lawyer.

80 degrees with 70 % humidity is nice sipping drinks. Dew point makes a difference. I ran in Florida in late June and it was mid 80s and humidity was relatively low (for Florida) but the dew point was 73-75. A couple runs, even 4-6 miles, felt harder than some 20 milers. My shoes started to bleed ink (I'm a heavy sweater too)!

We missed the all-time record high for Dec. 23rd by one degree. Officially 81 yesterday.
