AM: 3 mile walk with Abby and Andy to Chick-fil-a and back for breakfast. Ran into Jake Krong on the way. If you haven't checked out his blog you should. jkrong.fastrunningblog.com  :-)

Watching the news now. The world is going to hell.

PM Workout: 87 degrees, sunny, blah!

4 mile warm-up.

5 X 800 in 2:53, 2:51, 2:47, 2:41, 2:37. Quarter mile walk/jog interval. Ran these totally by feel with no goal times. Only looked at watch when finished. The only one I strained on was #5 which kinda hurt at the end.

2 mile cool down at 8:30 pace.

I honestly would have had no idea we were fighting Iraq again if I didn't read your blog. Wow. Great work Obama.

Or were you talking about the Kevin Love trade to Cleveland? THAT, I was aware of.

Or The Ukraine, or Gaza, or Major Generals getting assassinated in Afghanistan…

I'm expecting North Korean tanks to rumble across the 38th parallel at any minute! Jeez, the amount of simultaneous crisis going on now is crazy.

I'm glad that I don't pay attention to the news. It sounds depressing.

An old quote but a good quote…

"You may not be interested in war, but war might be interested in you".

I was very interested in the first gulf war when I was a kid. I was infatuated with the F-117s. In fact I think I built several replica models of them.

I bet I was in the post-run shower and the kids were in the basement.
