9 miles on the treadmill after track practice this morning. Some of it kind of fartleky - got up to as fast as 6 minute pace for a while.

I was disappointed to see my employer, Alta High School, watering its extensive lawn in the downpour when I got to the track.

High School Budgets are huge these days Rob. Watering the lawns in a Utah down pour is nothing for a 5A school like the Alta Hawks. Who needs to pay teachers when you can budget that money for watering in the rain. Makes sense. nice week. MIH

Ha! They are giving us a hard time about a cost of living increase in our negotiations.

We drop down to 4A next year by the way. Corner Canyon was a dagger to the heart of Alta High School.

Contrary to popular belief... Bigger isn't always better. We loved our time in 4A. Of course for us, it was bigger. Now just convince the UHSAA to take DHells there. They have almost as many students as you guys!

HHS is also making good use of that budget by putting in a new football field. Hopefully we also get a new track out of it.

I agree with you on the size thing Dave but they took the area all out best athletes came from. 6 out of 7 runners on my 2008 state championship team came from what is now Corner's boundaries.

Most hellions actually live about 1-2 miles from PV and drive 5+ miles to purgatory! So I hear ya. Could you get some nice weather dialed in for next week?!

It's got to be better than this week. I was on the track this morning for a workout with my kids and I swear we had warmer days in January!
