AM: 11.25 miles around Sugarhouse. The winter transition to running mostly on roads and treadmills is unwelcome and leaving my body achy so I'm keeping the pace slow. Trails are so much easier and more enjoyable that I would be happy not to run on roads ever again.

I'm not comprehending the cold and snow, it's been a long time since running in snow for me. As for roads vs trails, after two long runs on trails this past weekend a bunch of minor aches and pains magically cleared up, not sure if it was the slower pace, the lack of pounding on the pavement, or using different muscles but something good happened.

I’ve created a trail run category on the shoe tracker. Tons of trail runs this year have made it a great running year.

I feel the same dread with winter coming on. Let me know if you would like to go for a run sometime.
