Just have a second now... one of my best runs ever today.

A little of everything - road, trail, beach, across the Golden Gate Bridge and back. Lots of trails in the Presidio.Obviously stayed in San Francisco after the trip to Alcatraz - found a hotel for $70.00 which is pretty amazing. Did a whirlwind tour of SF today. Haight-Ashbury, Golden Gate Park, froze our #%!!@ off at Ocean Beach but the kids seemed oblivious and had a great time. But you can't go to California with the kids without it right?

Staying in Grass Valley Ca. tonight. Why? Because about 20 years ago I read the biography of famous test pilot Chuck Yeager and he lived here. First guy through the sound barrier.

Staying at the Holbrooke Hotel which has been in operation since 1861. Mark Twain and U.S. Grant both stayed here. Open mic night in the bar - might go sing with the band. Probably not though. I don't drink nearly enough for that anymore.

I like running in SF. hey- I saved the front page/section of the hard copy of the SL trib that has your picture front and center on it. I just need to know how to get it to you. I can give it to Steve if I see him at smithfield May 14.

I hope you did manage to sing at least a few verses. So very cool that your vacation takes you to out-of-the-ordinary destinations.
