Another easy run around Austin with my buddy Joah at who's house I'm staying this weekend. Threw in 3 1-2 minute efforts at 5:30 pace. Felt really good.

Had a little bit of a scare yesterday at the packet pick-up. The race is sold out and they didn't have any Rob Murphys from Salt Lake City registered. After about a half hour of trying to resolve this, they figured out that I was actually Rob "Nurphy" from Salt Lake City. Don't know if it was my error when registering or theirs, but I was glad to get it fixed.

Race starts at 6:45 tomorrow morning (5:45 Utah time). Weather looks good, drove the course some yesterday and it's pretty fast.

Now I'm off to the Lyndon Johnson Presidential Library at UT. History geek stuff combined with running!

Good luck. I like Nurphy, I think that should be your nickname. If Nurf made shoes they could sponser you.

Good Luck tomorrow!! I'm so jealous your in Austin and I'm not. Austin will always be my home. I miss it so much! I'm UT alumni. Lived there for 7 years. I used to run around Town Lake all the time. I never wanted to move away... but then I got too good of a job offer in Fort Worth. My husband and I keep saying we're going to move back one of these days.

Where are you eating while you're there? May I recommend The Oasis! Or El Aroyo. Or Shady Grove. Or Hula Hut. I just keep thinking of more and more... The restaurants there are the best! This weekend's weather has been great too. Austin has so many restaurants with outdoor patios...

I am missing Austin! I think we're going to go the weekend of April 2nd. I found this 25K/50k/50 mile trail race that I'm going to do... I'm doing the 25k. In April all the Texas wild flowers are in bloom and this race goes through the hill country through fields of wild flowers.

I can't wait to read more about your race and your trip. Good Luck!

Good luck tomorrow, Rob. I have no doubt that you're prepared and ready to hit your goal. I've actually been to the LBJ Presidential Library, and thought nice, it's no William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park. Got to visit Little Rock!!!
