Fifteen miles - mid afternoon, 74 degrees and sunny. Mostly circling the horrendous crowds and traffic at Sugarhouse Park. But I watched the Duel in the Sun on youtube this morning and that's pretty much what it was like for Salazar and Beardsley back in the day. So a good Boston simulator!

1 mile easy warm-up

13.1 mile progression run in 1:24. Ran the last mile in 5:48.

1 mile cool down.

Right heel aches. Right hamstring very iffy and will be aching badly around mile 18. Both knees ache. Left achilles sore and had to stop and rub it some during the cool down.

Other than that, I'm ready for Boston.

The new Salazar autobiography is out Tuesday. Just in time for Boston no doubt. Maybe I'll get it and read it on the plane for motivation. Might make me want to score some Prozac?

Hey, I'm planning to do a 5k tempo at 6 min pace on Tuesday afternoon...any chance you would want to join me? It would be a good last workout before Boston!

Is it possible that you may be a tad anxious?

I want to pick up that book ASAP as well for the plane ride. But maybe I need to think about something other than running... its just so unlikely to happen at this point :-)

Andrea - Tuesday is no good for me. Ann works, swim practice for Abby, swim team parent meeting...

Don't suppose you could move it to Wednesday?

Jake - maybe that's where the Prozac would help?

Bret - honestly, I'm falling apart. Going to bring a roll of duct tape with me.

Well for what it is worth - your prerace anxiety is having a strange calming affect on me. So...Thanks!
