Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 12, 10, and 8.

After a great 2008 season, I was injured and eventually diagnosed and cross-diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a type of arthritis disease, which precludes running for all but the most stubborn.  So I am on medications, trying to stay healthy, and seeing my PT often.  And running!  Now beating the streets in Hong Kong.

Pain today better, 0-1 throughout day and night, still on Aleve.  Feeling normal.  I am wanting to get out there and start walking with a plan to start running again, but I need to remind myself this is drug-induced, and on 6-13 my MRI was really bad, so hold off. I'll get advice on how to find out when I am ready from the rheum. and I'll get an appt with dr. mclane in case he isn't sure.

I don't think having a Costco size m&ms bag in my house is working for me.

Costco size? You should be able to jump in it like a ball pit.

I would come over and rescue you from it, but I ate candy for 2 WHOLE days straight at girls camp :( I can't afford another day of chocolate/licorice/marshmallows/caramels/more chocolate. I am going through withdrawals this morning.

New yummy campfire treat... roast caramels over the fire and then put it in between two Ritz crackers. SOOO good! It is good with a little chocolate in there too.... Maybe I should go up to camp again tonight :) Noooooooooooo......

Maybe try rolos?

The chocolate melts off when you roast them :( The Kraft caramels work GREAT with one little square of chocolate on the Ritz ready and waiting for the perfectly roasted caramel :)

oh my goodness, my mouth is watering. I love a good sweet/salty combo. Sometimes I just do homemade frosting on saltines for a sweet/salty treat. If you leave them in a Tupperware for a few hours the saltines get soft. Mmmm.

Nan- Yummy! I LOVE frosted graham crackers. I'll have to try the saltines :)

Now I want M&M's and suddenly have a craving for s'mores.

One can never have enough M&Ms!!!
