Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 12, 10, and 8.

After a great 2008 season, I was injured and eventually diagnosed and cross-diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a type of arthritis disease, which precludes running for all but the most stubborn.  So I am on medications, trying to stay healthy, and seeing my PT often.  And running!  Now beating the streets in Hong Kong.

Rode bikes with Ben, attacked the hills better, went longer than last time, but Ben got uncooperative and sad by the end.  I need to make sure i don't push him too hard.

Legs felt great at work, the best they've felt for a long time.

Yeah- don't go killing off the off spring ;) I am going to be riding on Mondays and Fridays during my marathon training. (yes, I said MARATHON TRAINING!!! YIKES!) You can push me too hard ;) I wish the pool was opened. During the summer I am going to swim on Thursdays and fridays. I will probably ride on fridays too.

I almost rode to your house Wednesday to give you a hug (ok to get a hug) but I didn't have enough time to get that far. I can't ride in the morning during tax season, I have to get in as early as possible. It would be fun to ride together though.

I am good after school too :) I like after school because it is light and warmer. Biking is SO cold. ((((hug))))) there is a cyber hug. Are you surviving ok? I need to do my taxes today. I am farting around this year because we aren't getting much back and will probably owe in Utah :( Oh well, such is life. It will only take me about an hour on Turbo Tax. I just don't want to do it. I wish David had a burning desire to do our finances. I hate it.
