Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

The sun came out today and it felt sooo nice! I had to take my jacket off about a half mile into the run. What a difference it made to see and FEEL the warmth of the sun. Even though the run wasn't easy, it was enjoyable. I should have went a little farther and made it six and more like seven that's just where I ended up when I got to the drive way. It's been a long exhausting week and I was ready to be done but still glad to have gotten out. The only bad thing about the run was the DOGS! Right now they are a four letter word in my book! Today I crossed five, yes FIVE pairs of dogs. By pairs I mean two at a time running towards me with teeth bared and ears back. Granted two of the pairs were the same that I met coming and going but still I feel like I had my fair share of the four legged creatures today! There are these two that I usually only encounter on Sats. (they must only get let out on Sat. or so I thought) but they were out yesterday and today. I still haven't bought me any pepper spray, but when if I start to carry some I know that I wouldn't hesitate to let them have a closer look!

TGIF and happy running everyone! I hope we all get to see this SUNSHINE through tomorrow!!!

You are doing awsome! I wish I could get back to running and be as good at is as you have been. (after a getting out of my groove)

Other peoples dogs scare me. Maybe if I had a couple unknown dogs on my tail I could pick up the pace. Some people really take a big risk by letting there dogs run free.

Nice job today! Rough go with the dogs today but at least you had the sun!!

I am excited that you might be able to come to the Spectrum 10K. It should be a lot of fun.

Michelle, get the pepper spray, one dog bite or injury trying to avoid them is just not worth it. Be careful sunshine runner, B of BS Rools out.

I think the animal control needs to be summoned to your neighborhood! Don't get me wrong, I'd a dog lover- but I can't stand random dogs off leashes wandering the streets- argghh! Great run today! So you are considering Spectrum if things are on the up & up w/ Jamie? I hope you can come!

8 dogs off leash in less than 6 miles! Ah! That really is amazing. You should tell the police or something. It's just darn dangerous! Good job getting out. Hope you see the sun tomorrow!

You sound like monaflash with all the dogs. He has great aim at hitting them right on the head with golf ball sized rocks.
