Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Oh what a difference sleeping in the night does for the body! Wanted to get a long run in today, but my children had other plans for me this afternoon and so I had to cut it short. Maybe tomorrow or Sat. I guess. Uneventful run actually felt pretty easy as I was geared up for 11ish. Just glad I got a run in though!

You are right on the sleep. I say sometimes the miles have to give a little when the sleep doesn't happen like we would like it to. For some reason I could not sleep last night. I don't know if it is because of my 11 miles yesterday, thinking of getting up at 5:30 to get today's in or what. All I know is that I sat up and read until about 1:00. Then I thought I might as well unload the dishwasher. So one thing led to another and I got my kitchen clean at about 2:00 this morning. (Too bad I didn't have a mopping machine to be helping me out.) Anyway, 5:30 rolled around and there was no way I was getting out of bed. I knew that meant giving up miles for today, but to me, my sanity is more than just running. (Blasphemy, I know!)

Great run, as usual. Good job getting it in, especially when your kids had other plans. Im proud of you for chosing your priorities. What are your longs runs up to now? 11?

You & I both! Sorry I didn't hold up my 1.5 hr promise. Bascially I procrastinated getting out the door until I only had an hour. I plan on doing 10-12 on Sat. I'm going to register for the 1/2 tomorrow!!!! Can't wait to run it with you!
