Running Accomplishments:

Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

I haven't made it out yet but I'm going to try the blog now and committ to getting it done and run later approach today. So I hope to get in another nice 6-7 miles today, wish me luck!

Well I got it done! Seven miles! Average pace 9:35? I don't know what to think so I'm just not going to worry about it. I really don't think that the effort was as good as the other day but the pace was faster? I wonder if it has something to do with changing my sensor back and forth between different shoes, o well? Based on how I felt and effort today was still a good run and I may not have pushed as hard, I did get a good workout! Just glad to put some miles up on the board. Plan is to finish the week strong and then get back into my groove!!!

Go Michelle!!! You can do it!

From Christi on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 16:00:10

YOU CAN DO IT!!!(just don't follow my example yesterday..hee hee..) And hey, I think you & Lybi need an upcoming race to stay excited about running. Are you doing Spectrum? What's your next race?

From Kim on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 18:15:25

Good job Michelle! You make it look as though you were never "out" of your groove! Are you doing Stider's half in April?

From Jody on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 19:03:58

Great Job!!! Seven miles is fantastic!! I have the same question as Christi and Kim - Are you planning on Striders or the Spectrum10K?

From Brent on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 19:13:52

Nice run, good to see you back in full stride. Your still one of the WOWs. I hope you can do striders half, St.George marathon. Good to have a race goal.

Stay Cool, B of BS Rools dragon on out.

From Lybi on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 20:16:06

You did it! Good for you. I did it too--just for you and Christi. Nice pace, too!

From Shauna on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 21:38:42

Great job! You have been improving so much.

From Michelle on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 22:05:10

Shauna- thanks so much! The blog is sooo great look at the way we all work each other through the rough spots!!! So how is your training coming?

Chiristi- Jody- When is the spectrum 10k again? I am totally planning on the Striders half... we are just in such limbo with Jamies next surgery that I hate to pay up front for any races and then not be able to show? I don't know if I can sign up on race day for either, but I would be more than game for both if we are not enjoying the view of SLC from the white tower on the hill!!!

Brent- I'm not sure that I am back in full stride, bugt sure am working on it! St.George marathon??? I haven't really ever considered a marathon yet, I'm not sure if I'm that brave? (I know that I shouldn't admit that)

Kim- Thanks to you I didn't fall out of my groove too much, I look each day and see if I can still keep up with you. You are definatly in the "GROOVE" !

Laura- Thanks you got me out the door!!!

From jody on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 22:08:30

Michelle,

The Spectrum 10K is The weekend of March 15. It is a downhill course. Very, very pretty scenery.

From Christi on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 23:43:09

Yes Michelle- come do Spectrum with us, its a beautiful & fast course! You ROCKED on the run today!!! We had a good team effort getting out today didn't we?

From crumpyb1 on Fri, Feb 08, 2008 at 08:05:44

You are doing great! Like you said, don't worry about the time, just keep getting out the door. I hope all your runs are as enjoyable as possible.
