Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Got it done, that was questionable earlier after working last night and having the "Callzee" home sick yesterday and today. (Next I'm going to see if she has strep? ) First half of the run felt hard, second half felt really good. Funny how that is...first half more uphill, second half more down hill! At least I end on a good note and it keeps me coming back for more. Was pleasantly surprised when I finally made it out to run the sun was out and the ice skating rink that I came home from work on and took my daughter to school on was mostly melted and the roads were only wet. Although it was cold out the sun shining made it feel pretty nice. So bright out that I had to weat sunglasses...so overall if you have to have winter this is still a great running day! Sunday my legs were so sore from the leg exercises that I thought that running would be too painful to bear, after a day off I have recovered pretty well so I'm glad for that, hope to do that a few times a week, I hope I can keep it up but if seems that even with the best intentions that I seem to let that slide!! UhGG!!

I just got home from work and a meeting and decided that if you had blogged a run today then I would go (for some random reason). Of course you are the last one to have blogged! So I guess I am going out for a run! Thanks a lot! :)

No painters half for us, maybe next year. We have several races and mini trips planned, Moab for Sylvie, Odgen marathon, possible Rock n Roll Marathon San Diego, Bryce Canyon Half, St. George, etc. Trying to stretch our vacation bucks after the Hawaii trip. By the way, is your daughter still running, that 9 minute mile?

Stay cool as ice cream, B of BS Rools out

Michelle,

I don't know if you noticed on my blog or not, but my buddy, Beth, has decided to hold off on the 1/2. I would love to run with you if you are still planning on doing Painter's.

Good job getting out! Keep popping the airborne or whatever you need to do to NOT get sick! Hope Callzee kicks it soon! Hey- do I actually have to RUN and make myself sore to get in on some of this ice (cream) therapy? hee hee..

You will be great at Painters! I wish I could be there to meet everyone. Thank you for your words of encouragement - I'm really going to try! Have a great week.
