Didn't much feel like going out today but considered the alternative (dreadmill) and got dressed to go out. It was around 30 degrees and lightly snowing throughout the run. I got warm fast and again peeled off an extra layer. Felt pretty slugish, I think that the night shift, sick kid sleeping with me in the day stuff is catching up, so I decided to relax and take it slow. It was really quite a pleasant run in that kids were out playing in the snow all over and with the light snow fall and snow on the ground it was really pretty out. Most of the streets had melted off pretty well, but at times I was still in the "splash zone"! Most of the time not too bad though! I actually was excitted to get home and finish off the driveway that my husband did not get to before he went to work, so I looked at that as my reward for enduring too the end on a tired day! Watched one guy getting pulled out of an embankment that he pulled into to load his 4-wheeler and couldn't get out. After he was succesfully towed out he drove passed me slowly and gave a few obnoxious cat calls. I was too focused on the run to call back anything appropraitely intelligent, but I can think of a few good come backs now! O-well, probably not woth the extra effort!!! |
