Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

According to the ipod, 12.84. I think that if I clocked it I would be around 13, so I feel better about getting in one more long run in before Painters. I started out doing a different run than I ended up doing, so it meant that I would have to do it without any gatoraide or water, but I'm pretty used to that. When I was about 4 miles into the run I changed my mind and kkept going to Monroe to my husbands school, which sounded better than looping around town a bunch, and even though it MAY? have been a little harder run I was glad that I changed the plan. Perfect day for a long run, and I love running that back road to Monroe as you just wind throught the fields and it's very peacefull. Almost everyone I waved at waved back which gave me something to do and one little old guy gave me a cute thumbs up!! Looking forward to the thought of a little taper coming up and am excitted to meet new bloggy faces and see everyone that I already know again! Should be a great time for all!!! hurried home and streched a little and took about a 10 minute hot bath and so far the legs feel pretty good! Need to do more streching throughout the day but overall not too bad!!!

Nice job on the long run! I'm excited to see how you and Kim do down at Painters. You've both certainly put in the training so I expect it will be a great day for both of you and hopefully all of the FRBers.

Hey Michelle, I hope I can keep up with you! I just want you to know that I am all for you doing your very best! Even if that means leaving me in the dust. You have one,(at least), up on me...my longest run up to the race will be my 11 miler two days ago.

Wooo-Hooo! Excellent long run. You sound so much more chipper that I was when I finished my 12 miler. You might just surprise yourself with your time, girl!
