Well my Garmin battery died about 1/2 a mile into my run so I don't know my pace, but this was the same route I ran last week so I know the miles. In fact I ran just a bit farther but I'm not certain by how much so I just left it at the 6.2. So I don't know my pace...but I can say that this run felt quite a bit better then last time I ran it. :)

Lori, I'm glad you're doing better with your shins - so funny we seem to be having very similar issues - I, too, am trying to heel strike less and shorten my strides to avoid shin pain, and got some calf/hamstring issues as a result... when is not one thing is another! I've been using the compression sleeves too and they seem to be helping. Do you run with your shin wrapped?

Soon enough we'll both be running injury-free, I promise!

Don't you hate it when the Garmin dies on you? I sure do.

Good job with the run. That's great that you're feeling stronger. You are certainly on the mend. You should be in good shape in time for Canyonlands next month.

Lucia, I bought these calf compression sleeve. http://www.trisports.com/zecacosl.html?productid=zecacosl&channelid=FROOG

And I wear them when I run... and if my shin is buggin during the day. But that has not happened for a while. They have become my security blanet and I wonder if I will be able to run without them now. LOL

Carolyn, It was nice to feel better on this run then I have in a while. I hope it continues, I'm starting to get excited for Moab, it's such a beautiful race.
