Personal:

I've been married to my husband for 29 years. We have four children and four grandkids.  I'm the department secretary for an automotive safety company. In my spare time (??? spare time???) I sculpt as a hobby and hope one day to do it as a career. www.lorimetcalfdolls.blogspot.com

Another rest day.

So today was a shut down day at my work so I will have a very long weekend :) I'm hoping to get the rest of the sculpting done on my latest doll that my brother-in-law is having made for is wife. My hubby is having a prcedure on his back (two ruptured discs) so please keep him in you thoughts and prayers that it is sucessfull and everything will be good. They are doing some sort of injections. Don't really know all the details.

In other news... youngest son is finally part of the working class!!! Can I hear a big AMEN!! I love him so much but at 19 he really needed a reality check, and there is nothing like a little hard labor at minimun wage for them to realise how the world is. It's funny how when they have earned the money they are so much more resonsible in how they spend it. He is just working part time at a local grocery store in the bakery. So, hopefully he will have tuition saved when he startes back to school this fall!!

So I will be running Saturday, and Sunday... first back to back days since the marathon! I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial weekend!!

Hola Baby! I sure hope Bill is feeling ok as soon as possible. It sounds like your week is going well :) chafing is SO irritating. It looks like it should not hurt too much, but man, it wreaks EVERYTHING!!

Enjoy your long weekend :) David is off until Monday and I am really looking forward to it. We are going up to Huntsville on Monday for my BIL's restaurant opening. They are going to be moving to Ogden next week. I'll have a great excuse to come and run with you... or chase you, very slowly ;)

Enjoy your rest day and day off work. Have fun with the doll.

I hope that Bill's procedure goes well.

Does your son start his job today? Will he be bringing home treats from the bakery?

Good luck on your runs this weekend.

Thanks Ladies... Carolyn, he started his job on Weds. And nope he has not brought home baked goods... he can eat all he wants at work, but I have informed him to not bring them home!

So far hubby is resting and doing fine, will see how things feel when the drugs wear off.
