Paced the 3:00 pace group for the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon.  This is a beautiful course with lots of downhill. The first mile it rained and was cold which had me a bit concerned.  Then the rain dropped back to a drizzle and race conditions were perfect until around mile 8 or 9.  The day wasn't too hot, it was overcast, I had two fun teenagers to run with and lots of great people around.  Last few miles it alternated between raining and pouring.  We were trying to motivate people so we did a lot of jumping around and running backwards getting cars that passed us to honk.  We motivated a few people - so it was all worth while.

My daughter is in town, so we enjoyed the chance to go down and see Bryce Canyon.  We loved taking pictures in Red Canyon.  After the race, we got cleaned up and headed out to see Bryce Canyon.  It was overcast, so we couldn't see much, but decided to go partway down into the Navajo Loop to see if it was pretty down there.  It was - we got some gorgeous pictures.  That area is really spectacular.  Unfortunately, at the halfway point it started to rain and then pour.  Jenn lives at below sea level - so combining altitude, being out of shape, and slippery/gunky trails made the trip back up even harder - but she hung in there and made it.  I took off to hike to Sunrise Point while Jenn took a few more pictures and then drove over to get me.
