Short-Term Running Goals:
After 1/9/2010 - I am taking a year off from marathon length distances and focusing on building up my base speed on half marathons and shorter distances. 2010 Speed Goals: - Build up my base speed on training runs to 10 MM miles or better
- Half Marathon - break 2:05 (9.5 MM avg)
- 10K Goal 1 - break 1:00 (9.67 MM avg)
- 10K Goal 2 - break 55 minutes (8.87 MM avg)
- 5K Goal 1 - break 26.35 minutes
- 5K Goal 2 - break 25 minutes
Long-Term Running Goals: Long Term Goals: - Complete a 100 Mile race
- Complete a 100 K race
- Break 12 hours in a 50 mile race
- Run all portions of the Wasatch 100 course
- Break 5 hours in a marathon
- Break 4.5 hours in a marathon
- Qualify for and run Boston

St. George number 6 and marathon number 20 under the belt. Hung with Leslie Peterson the entire race. I was supposed to be motivating her, but my body fell apart in the second half and she kept me from DNF'ing. Plantar Fasciitis kicked in bad in the left food early on in the race and made it painful. Left IT Band flared up around 14 and I would feel some twinges like me knee wanted to give out every once in a while. Got some Coban tape at an aid station that helped keep it liveable. I can tell I altered my stride enough that my groin has some muscle damage. Made it through - it wasn't pretty - but I finished.

| Rough week at work. Finally went out and ran 4 miles this afternoon. The left foot is still hurting a lot. May break down and visit the podiatrist. |

| Left knee gave out as I got out of bed this morning and hurt most of the day. Between that and the left foot hurting when I run from PF, I'm going to do cross training for a while. 5 miles on the Elliptigo.

| 2.5 miles on treadmill, 1.5 on elliptical. Back into weight training. Full body workout #2. I'm in such bad shape I almost passed out. I shall prevail.
