Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

Well, I didn''t get up this morning to run because it'd been raining.  When I went after work it was windy!  Wish I would have gotten up to go in the AM.   Was glad I did the 7.5 miles.  The wind coming out of the south was a pain but, overall was happy with my pace.  Going up the hills with the wind I got down to a 9.35 mile pace.  But, kept it at a 8:20 - 8:35 mile pace otherwise.   Good run even with the wind.

AM run:    I was glad I went out and ran this morning.  It was just alittle cool, but I was dressed for it.  Didn't get cold at all.   I was short on time but still managed to do 6.25 miles.

PM run:  After work I went to Freeman Park and ran 4 miles.   Did some Fartlek work.  I was tired by the time I finished.   Was very glad to get some good miles in today.  I'm understanding the reasons behind running twice a day.

Managed to get in 7.25 this morning.  I think I got out the door right around 6am.   Cooler with alittle wind, but not to bad.  I only see a couple of cars each morning.   There are a couple of neighbors I see some mornings when I'm in my last mile.  I'm always glad to see them out walking. 

No run after work. But, I did go to Freeman Park and walked 30 min just to get my legs moving.

AM run - 7 miles this morning.  Went out pretty early - 5:40am.  Pretty dark but, I managed.   Kinda strange being out that early.  It was nice being done before 6am though. 

PM run - 3 miles.  I'm going to call it a tempo run even though my pace varied depending on the incline.  Went anywhere from around a 8 min mile to a 9.35 min mile.  I'm trying to get used to running on tired legs.  Hope it pays off and gets easier.

Made it out the door to run at about 5:30am.  Kinda cool, but not to bad.  I've been trying to keep my morning runs at an easy pace since I've been running again some afternoons. Today I don't think I can because we have company over from Boise for the weekend.   I'm so glad it's Friday. I can sleep in alittle tomorrow.   However, I think we're going to Island Park to the cabin or maybe Jackson.   The run this morning wasn't to bad. I thought I'd be alittle more tired. I keep thinking base miles,base miles......

my watch died on me this morning so I'm thinking I did the usual 6.2 miles.  I ran the greenbelt and freeman park. 

In a hurry this morning.  We have company from Boise and we're headed to Jackson, into Yellowstone and then the cabin.  Will be a long day- but good.
