| I'm starting to run again. It has been hard to stay motivated without a race in sight or a running partner to train with. With that said, I'm going to ease back into it.
Warm up - 1 mile @ 10:00 PA
Work out - 7x 400 @ 5k pace. (I really eased up on my pace and ran more of a 10k/10mile pace. I started at 8:00 and then increased each 400 until 7:30 pace). Rest for 400 inbetween @ 9:00min pace. I started getting antsy and only rested 200 hundred inbetween
Cool down - only cooled for .25. By the end of the run, I just want to be finished!

I need to boost my treadmill stamina as much as my fitness. I was going to run for 40minutes and try to get 5 miles in but shortened the workout by 6 minutes because I wanted to be done!

| Easy 5 to Echo again. I've been a little under the weather this week. Mark has been motivating me to get out of bed all week and to run today. He ran around 10miles. I went home after 5. It was great running with him! P.S. I LOVE my new Hokas!! <3

| I started assisting coaching with the middle school cross country team. I was really excited to run with the group today. In the end, I felt badly for the underdog and the last runners. I stuck with these 2 sixth graders. Poor kids. Their parents are forcing them to be on the team. One was wearing a polo shirt and jeans and had thick perscription tinted glasses and thin puma shoes. The other kid was a little over weight couldn't keep his shoes tied and breathed like he was having an asthma attack. They could barely run 10 steps at a time. I tried encouraging and motivating them. They complained the entire time. At one point, one of them dropped on the grass and started rolling around. My watch clocked .75 miles in 16:54min. It was painful to watch them. I hope I can find a way to help. I believe everyone can improve in running!
I'm only counting a mile today for wear and tear on the shoe.

I ran with Melissa for the first time today. She took me on a beautiful run on the East side of Telegraph through the homes around Cranbrook. I never run on that side of town. It was fun seeing a different course and talking to her. She is a great runner. I was really out of breath. I guess I'm out of the habit of talking the entire time while running. Love the Hokas!

| Echo with Mark. Beautiful, warm, sunshiny day! I'm not sure of the PA. I felt a little winded and tired though. I'm not use to the Altras yet. I kind of feel like they might be giving me a shin splint.

Mark and I ran a quick loop around Franklin. We stopped at the cider mill for a donut and sip of freshly pressed apple cider even though it was undeserved for the few miles we ran. Great everytime!

I ran with the middle schoolers again today. We looped up and down Wing Lake Rd. I tried encouraging them on the course everytime I passed or saw them on the turn around. It was a good course for keeping track of all the kids.

I have a hard time saying no to people when they ask me to run with them even with minutes notice. It felt so good! I would have just been cleaning my house or paying bills this morning. Hopefully the running will make me more efficient with my time.

| I'm trying to make it to the 15th without filling up the car with gas. I ran everywhere today! I ran 3.5 miles to Kate's field trip at the nature center. Ran 3.5 miles back home. Changed my shirt, switched the laundry and then ran 1 mile to the middle school. When I came home, I ran Gunner 1 mile around the block. Then I had to drop something off at a neighbor's home for the board meeting and ran another .5. My PA was probably 8:30 total. I had time constraints and couldn't walk or take it too easy. :)

| Ran 1 mile (7:11) with the CC team. I always start last. I talked to David for a couple seconds and helped a girl who had fallen down. The cold wind burned my lungs for a bit. It felt good to run even though it was only a mile. :)
