Finally got a chance to enter a short report as we have had a travel day to NYC today. and will report more later. I had and amazing time runing the Boston Marathon and the time we had with our friends.  I feel I ran a smart race and stuck to a game plan to finish under a 3:30.  I had a great time with the FRB masters team Jeff, Rob, Steve, and Walter as we got some great photos together and all.    This is what I do know for now is

3:29:05

started 8168 and finished 2943 overall

297 in age group

11/86 of all Idaho runners

This was a very hot race but I had an amazing time running it with my wife as she did an awesome job and I am so proud of her.

Will report more later.

Congrats on running a strong race, I am very proud of you!! You will now always have the fact that you are a Boston Marathon finisher, and on one of the toughest days ever at the race!

You made the news back in IF as the 4th fastest finisher from SE Idaho!

It was great to meet you Marlin. I think we will all be glad to say we were a part of this one in a few years. It was rough out there though.

You did an awesome job Marlin. It was great watching you and the rest of the gang on line. I was so happy to see you holding strong through out. Have fun in NYC.

Congrats - not many people hit their goal times, even the "dialed back" versions of them, so you ran a tough and smart race!

And that "Andrea" post was me, accidentally logged in under her name :-)

Marlin you ran a very strong and impressive race. To do that in those conditions is just incredible. To see how far you moved up in numbers just proves how well you really did. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience and I'm so grateful that I got to be there with all of you guys. We will chat soon have safe travels coming home.
