This race really kicked my A. Im not sure if it was the heat or the unique course or what but it was rough. I was going for a 3:30 which may have been a little fast but based on my training runs I thought it was a realistic challenge. I threw up at mile 3 and at mile 17 I started cramping up in both calves and my right quad followed soon after. I have never experienced pain like that in my legs. I ran a 1:42 split and i was feeling great, I thought a negative split was realistic.
